Camille Hoheb, M.S, Healthcare Administration
Camille Hoheb is the principal of Global Spa and Wellness, a consulting firm focusing on emerging global shifts and the convergence of healthcare, hospitality and spa. Ms Hoheb’s experience has spanned-and-linked physicians, hospitals, spas and destinations. She has performed strategic planning and directed both operations and marketing in the health industry for two decades. Ms. Hoheb was charged with developing wellness tourism initiatives and increasing executive and group health business at a luxury hotel brand and has worked directly with 100+ spa owners.
Leadership Positions
Ms. Hoheb serves on the board of advisors for Health Tourism Magazine, Corporate Wellness Magazine, and is on the executive committee of the Corporate Health and Wellness Association. She is also a member of Professionals in Human Resources Association. Recently, Ms. Hoheb is a member of the Global Spa Summit Community; an invitation only, internationally recognized spa conference shaping the global spa industry.
Published Works
Ms. Hoheb has authored many articles on medical tourism, spa reviews, spa operations and corporate health in publications such as: Day Spa Magazine, Medical Spa Report, American Spa Magazine, Health Tourism Magazine, Medical Tourism Magazine, Massage & Bodywork, Dermascope, Les Nouvelle Esthetiques & Spa, Massage Therapy Journal, Yoga Journal, Medical Spa and Healthy Aging and more. A wide range of topics include: stress in the workplace, spa real estate development and design, disaster preparedness and business planning, complementary and alternative medicine, massage licensure and spa operations. Ms. Hoheb contributed an introductory chapter on real estate for the Day Spa Bible, 4th edition, to be published in March 2010.
Speaking Engagements
Recent speaking engagements include “Synergy between Spas and Medical Tourism” and “Complimentary and Alternative Medicine” at the Medical Tourism Congress in the USA (September 2008, October 2009) and “The Importance of Thermal Spa Tourism to Turkey and the Middle East” in Adana, Turkey (October 2008). She will be speaking on “The American Consumer: Opportunities for Spa and Wellness Tourism in Turkey” in Antalya, Turkey, (March 2010) and “Corporate Health: Opportunities for Wellness Tourism in Egypt” and “Synergy between Spa and Medical Tourism” in Cairo, Egypt (April 2010).
Education
Ms. Hoheb holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from California State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hobart and William Smith College. She is licensed in real estate in California. Ms. Hoheb also received certifications in Integrative Medicine, Complementary and Alternative Medicine and Health and Spirituality from the National Institute of Health.
